Are Hellhounds Familiars?[]
It occured to me that after re-watching Man's Best Friend With Benefits, that if witches that have familiars become Demons then do their Familiars transform into the monstrous beasts we call "Hellhounds"?Self-Declared God of Supreme Conduits (talk) 22:50, April 28, 2013 (UTC) Kesslerbeast
Interesting Idea, considering the most (atleat thats what they claim) witches get there powers through demons, or are evil, then it makes perfect sense they would go to hell, and become demons. So what happens to there Familiars? That might explain the question fans have been wondering for years, what are hellhounds. It sounds perfectly plausable to me. But I guess were never know. True....at least until the Show either denies or accepts my theory. Self-Declared God of Supreme Conduits (talk) 22:55, April 28, 2013 (UTC) Kesslerbeast
- I, myself, doubt the show's crew will bluntly dismiss or cofirm this particular theory. Sorry, but this - it possesses an implausibility. I do, however, find this theorilization interesting. We, the fans, have wondered - where in the Hell (ha ha) do Hellhounds come from. Who made them. Those are two questions that I'd like to see appropriated. -- ImperiexSeed, 1:20 PM, April 29th 2013
- As would I, I like theory, but I think your right, its unlikely that its going to be directly confirmed or dismissed, and if they succeed and slam shut the gates of hell this season, then we will never see hell hounds ever again. General MGD 109 (talk) 18:02, April 29, 2013 (UTC)
- General - it would directly depends on their inhabitation. If their occupancy is in Hell, then you're right, we'd never see them again. I could be wrong, but I think Bobby says they're of Hell, which is an implication that they live in Hell. -- ImperiexSeed, 2:12 PM, April 29th 2013
- Considering demons, can own individual ones, it makes perfect sense they live in hell. Of course if they don't, does that mean that when the close the gates, the hounds will go wild, as there's nothing to control them. General MGD 109 (talk) 18:15, April 29, 2013 (UTC)
- They're not Earthly - they're, in a sense, hellish. God and Death didn't create them, and, in all 8 seasons, it's never been inferenced that Lucifer did. But, to place something in perspective - remember - in "No Rest For the Wicked", "The Man Who Would Be King", or "Taxi Driver", there was no barking, in Hell. And Hellhounds aren't exactly quiet - they're ferocious pitbulls of the Pit. So, that situates a question, 'Where do Hellhounds come from?' -- ImperiexSeed, 2:26 PM, April 29th 2013
- Good point, well I guess were just have to wait and see if theres any explination, it also beggs the question if there in hell how do they get out? General MGD 109 (talk) 18:36, April 29, 2013 (UTC)
Hallucinations[]
In Crossroad blues when the motel owner knocks on the door telling her to vacate or pay for another night. Is this part of their hallunications? I vaguely remember this happening in another episode, but I can't remember which one.
- Normally, I'd say no, ut because the owner smiled weirdly after confronting her, it might be possible. Although why a hallucination would continue outside a hallucinating person's sensory field is beyond me. FTWinchester (talk) 13:39, February 1, 2014 (UTC)
Who created Hellhounds?[]
I'm really curious, who or what created Hellhounds? I realize such a question, at this point, hasn't been revealed in supernatural. I have a horrendous time conceiving why God would create them for any reason. They seem to operate mindlessly, not even caring about leaving their prey in a disentanglement of humiliation. Death wouldn't create a second creature that does exactly what reapers do. Did Lucifer use an animal like he did with the nun and breed with a dog? -- ImperiexSeed, 1:04 PM, February 1st 2014
It's probably Lucifer's work. I fail to recall any reference with a nun, though. Care to refresh my memory? FTWinchester (talk) 13:40, February 1, 2014 (UTC)
Lucifer's presence was vocalized through a nun in "Lucifer Rising." He could've done a similar thing with an animal and bred with another, creating Hellhounds. -- ImperiexSeed, 5:25 PM, February 3rd 2014
Read Supernatural war of the sons they created by lilith herself.Doctor other (talk) 06:56, February 4, 2014 (UTC)
I won't talk on how much I censure those materials, for I'd feel rather verbose going over it again, but what did Lilith create Hellhounds from? Or, why? -- ImperiexSeed, 2:05 PM, February 4th 2014
According to Abbadon in war of the sons she was dislike dogs and she enjoy torment them, she created first hellhound from a regular dog (corrupted evil dog).Doctor other (talk) 07:26, February 4, 2014 (UTC)
Questions[]
Can Hellhounds teleport to and from Hell? Or would it make more sense they stronger demons teleport/aport them?
Also, can Hellhounds be heard by anyone or only those they come for? This seems inconsistent. --Jmac 703 (talk) 04:50, February 23, 2018 (UTC)
No, hellhounds can't teleport; their handlers set them loose. And hellhounds can only be heard by the damned. -ParasiticCarroll (talk) 12:16, February 23, 2018 (UTC)
Ok thanks, as I said, hearing them has always been inconsistent. Hellhounds can be felt by anyone though correct? --Jmac 703 (talk) 06:49, February 25, 2018 (UTC)
Or someone the hellhound wants to hear them. When Ramsey was set free on her own, that girl she was targeting and the Winchesters heard her because she was targeting them and she wanted them to hear her. They can only be seen by the damned or through Hellhound Glasses though.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 06:36, March 3, 2018 (UTC)
