I know they are from another dimension and all that but why doesn't the Grand Coven has a classification for practitioners of Fairy magic? If most of the grand coven members are several centuries old, it's quite possible they would have heard of fairies. And even without confirmation I stand by my opinion that just as Purgatory is Hell adjacent, Avalon and probably it's region known as Oz are Earth adjacent. They probably consider those as a separate branch of magic, the same way that hoodoo, shamanism, etc., were never described to be similar to witchcraft despite all of them requiring pretty much the same basics (spell ingredients and incantations). FTWinchester (talk) 02:28, December 2, 2014 (UTC)
Are Borrowers really part of the Grand Coven?[]
This is far from clear. The way the entry is written, it implies that there are three kinds of witch at the Grand Coven. All Rowena says, however, is that there are three types of witch - she says nothing about them belonging equally in the group. Here's all she says about Borrowers:
According to the grand coven, there are three recognized kinds of witch in the world. Most common are the borrowers -- those who harness the power of a demon in order to practice the art. Owing to recent experience, I doubt you'd have the stomach for that.
She never says that Borrowers exist at the Coven. The only ones she explicitly links to the group are naturals and students. It wouldn't really surprise me if Borrowers were banned at the Grand Coven, considering the low regard with which high ranking Grand Coven members such as Rowena and Olivette held demons. I can't prove that Borrowers were banned at the Grand Coven, but it very much seems that the article is extrapolating from what she said.SonOfEve (talk) 13:39, December 31, 2017 (UTC)
I would say that, in view of Olivette's apparent contempt for demons, it's more likely that borrowers are not part of the Grand Coven, or at least achieve a high status within it.
I think that we should just change "According to Rowena, the Grand Coven classifies its members into three recognized kinds of witches--the borrowers, the naturals and the students." to "According to Rowena, the Grand Coven classifies three recognized kinds of witches--the borrowers, the naturals and the students." I am unsure of this I need to rewatch the episode in question, but I think the way it is, is the way she said it. In which case it is a quote from in show. Also I think you broke something Doc --ThomasNealy (talk) 04:40, January 1, 2018 (UTC)
What i broke? Doctor49 (talk) 05:02, January 1, 2018 (UTC)
You fixed part of it since your post is not part of the block quote any more. But I don't know if you or Eve did the rest of of it. --ThomasNealy (talk) 05:07, January 1, 2018 (UTC)
