"Trouble in Tokyo" is the 10th episode of the third season of The Suite Life on Deck.

Story[]

The S.S. Tipton docks in Tokyo, where Zack and Cody's mother, Carey, is shooting a Japanese Soda commercial. They're invited to visit the set and watch the shooting of the commercial, but when Zack ruins the set and camera trying to get a costume off, Mr. Hashimoto forces the three to be soda testers to pay for the damage. They soon tire of the disgusting flavors and try to escape. Mr. Hashimoto calls in ninjas to stop the Martins from escaping. Zack ends up throwing a Peanut Butter Sandwich he had in his pocket and it lands in his Jellyfish Soda. He stops the ninja attacks to find out that the drink is now the best thing he's ever made. Zack attacks this by saying he was the one who made it like that. Mr. Hashimoto forgives the debt if he can use the creation as his new soda. Mr. Moseby tells London that she has a dentist appointment but doesn’t want to go because she’s afraid. London tells Mr. Moseby that Tokyo has the best stores he allows her to go but the minute she returns she’s getting in the dentist chair.

Meanwhile, Woody finds out that the ship is hosting a sumo wrestling challenge with the prize of a Tipton Gold Pass. He enters the challenge and defeats the sumo wrestler with his stinky armpits and he wins the gold pass. Later, while Woody and Bailey are eating food gained with the gold pass, they are confronted by the wrestler who is crying and saying he has "lost his honor". Woody lets the wrestler stay with him until his honor is restored. Woody begins to be annoyed with him and decides for the best, he is going to re-challenge the wrestler and let him win. Bailey helps him by applying deodorant to Woody's Armpits. The wrestler ends up winning and restoring his honor.

Quotes[]

  • Carey: A Japanese businessman saw my show at the Tipton and was taken with me.
    • Zack: Taken with you?
    • Carey: I believe I was talking to Cody. (to Cody) You have to come to visit me. I can't wait to see my two favorite...Hang on. Getting another call.
    • Carey: (answers phone) Hello?
    • Zack: (on phone) Taken with you?
  • Cody: Okay, mom, here's the trick: much of the sensation of taste actually comes from smell. So if you breathe through your mouth instead of your nose, you can eat something really disgusting.
    • Carey: How do you know that?
    • Cody: I grew up with your cooking.
  • Cody: Okay, look, we're gonna get out of here.
    • Zack: How? I'm sure their watching us.
    • Cody: Yes, but thanks to years of tympanic exercise and regular wax removal, I have a very acute sense of hearing. By counting footsteps and vocal trajectories, I've been able to paint an exact mental picture of this room.
    • Carey: Good job, Cody, I knew I could count on you.
    • Cody: We're in a triangular room made entirely of glass. Now to the right is a spiral staircase with travertine marble steps. Right now, Hashimoto is at the mixing table in the far corner of the room. Okay, follow me. We're going to the exit. Now it's exactly 12 paces away. One, two- ahh! (stands up and walks straight into Mr Hashimoto)
    • Mr Hashimoto: Where do you think you're going?
    • Zack: Hey Cody, let's see if your finely tuned ears can hear this. (leans close to Cody's ear) YOU'RE AN IDIOT.
  • Mr Hashimoto: Now I definitely cannot let you leave. You have seen my secret ingredients.
    • Zack: It's all labelled in Japanese. I don't even know what this stuff is.
    • Cody: Wow, is that the rare thelenota rubrolineata found off the coast of the Solomon Islands, you?
    • Carey: Cody, why can't you be dumb like your brother?
