"Super Twins" is the 4th episode of the third season of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. After Zack and Cody get superpowers, they must save the world's children from being turned into mini-adults by The Meanager, Mr. Moseby's alter-ego.
Story[]
After getting their bikes confiscated by Mr. Moseby, Zack and Cody wish on a star and get superpowers. At first, it seems nothing has changed. Then, Zack starts feeling a power within him, but it ends up actually being wind instead. The twins go to bed and when they wake up, Zack thinks about stealing a pair of Cody's socks which leads Cody to discover that he has the power to read minds. Zack laments that he doesn't seem to have any powers after falling off his bed in an attempt to fly only to find out that he has super speed. He tries to call Maddy to impress her but Cody makes the phone fly into his hands and discovers that he has telekinesis, the power to move objects with his mind.
In the hotel lobby, the twins test out their powers. Cody reads a woman's mind, only for her to think why he was staring at her. Cody then reads Moseby's mind and discovers that he had a less than pleasant view of the twins and wishes that they would just grow up already. Zack suggests using their powers to prank him but Cody warns Zack not to use their powers on a mere mortal until they see Moseby heat up his coffee with his laser eyes. Carey then asks Moseby for a raise which makes him use a yellow mind control ray to convince her to cut her salary instead.
Moseby asks Arwin to build him a ray gun to magnify his evil powers and tests out some of his powers on Arwin. Moseby calls himself "The Meanager", his supervillain name, to which Arwin ask him whether that he found out the staff name for him. Moseby explains that he wants a ray gun to magnify his ability to rob kids of their childhood and turn them into mini adults. Arwin refuses but Moseby uses the mind control ray to turn him into a minion, called "The Engineer", and he agrees. Moseby then recruits Esteban as his other sidekick, "Bellboy".
Zack complains that wearing his superhero costume underneath his clothes is itchy while Cody says that it's part of the superhero rule book. Arwin walks past with an invention hidden underneath a cloth with a sign "Nothing evil underneath here" written on it. Cody asks whether Zack finds it suspicious and Zack who says that he "reads at a third-grade level" says that "it went by too fast that he didn't get a chance to read it." Arwin reveals the Adultifier and tells Moseby that the machine needs diamonds to work, which annoys Moseby and says that why couldn't it be made out of something affordable, like batteries. The twins hide behind the couch and listen. However Bob walks past and is struck by Moseby's Adultifier ray. Bob is turned into a adult.
Zack and Cody reveal their superhero alter egos. Zack is "Quick guy" and Cody is "Brain Man". Zack laughs at Cody's name since the initials are "BM." They fight against The Meanager. Moseby freezes Cody. Once he's defrosted, he and Zack go to London's room to stop The Meanager from stealing her diamonds.
To distract them, Moseby has Esteban capture Maddie. Arwin also captures Carey. The twins rescue them and head back to London's room where she has handed over a diamond over to Moesby. Moseby powers up the Adultifier and aims it at Zack and Cody. Cody uses his telekinesis to move the mirror in front of them. It bounces back and hits Moseby instead, turning him into a baby. He cries and waddles off.
Zack and Cody want to celebrate but Carey pulls out a list of people who need their help. The twins despair and regret their wish. Cody suggests that Zack should reverse the planet's rotation so that they can go back in time so they can never make that wish. Zack runs around the planet so fast that they turn back time. However, they go a little bit too far in time and end up in caveman times. He runs forward, traveling through time again. However, the next day, Zack tells Cody about everything but Cody tells him that it was only a dream he had after he ate three slices of cold pepperoni pizza before going to bed, with the Adultifier having only being a toilet plunger that Arwin created.
Quotes[]
- Zack: You know, this Weather Warriors game stinks! You can't win with the lame superpowers they give you.
- Bob: Not me. Captain Coldfront sneezes ice. I just snotted out half of Cityopolis!
- Mr. Moseby: Let me get the limo for you. AAAHHHH!!!! ZACK!!! CODY!!!
- Bob: Didn’t hear a Bob. See ya.
- Mr. Moseby: Excuse me. I have told you repeatedly not to park your bikes in front of my hotel. Now, I am confiscating them.
- Cody: What gives you the right to do that?
- Mr. Moseby: I’m bigger than you.
- Zack: Well, not by much.
- Mr. Moseby: Grrrrr! Norman, help me with the bikes. Come on, Norman! Get a bike! Norman, get the door!
- Cody: This stinks.
- Zack: Yeah. When you’re a kid, you have no power. Oh, look! A shooting star!
- Cody: Quick! Close your eyes and make a wish.
- Zack/Cody: I wish I had superpowers. Good wish.
- Mr. Moseby: Forms? I don’t fill out forms. I’m the Meanager!
- Arwin: Ooh, you found out about your nickname, huh?
- Mr. Moseby: What nickname?
- Arwin: Never mind.
- Maddie: So let me get this straight: Moseby is a supervillain and you're his evil minion sent to kidnap me? That is the silliest thing I've ever heard!
- Esteban: Silence, captive!
- Maddie: On second thought, that is the silliest thing I've ever heard!
- Maddie: Now Jasmine, you need to find a healthy way to get your anger out. So when you are upset, try hitting this pillow.
- Jasmine: (hits the pillow so hard, Maddie gets hurt)
- Maddie: After I put it down!
- Mr. Moseby: (laughs evilly) It's good to be the Meanager!
- Esteban: Oh, you found out about your nickname.
- Mr. Moseby: What nickname?!
- Esteban: Never mind.
- Zack: [racing up to Moseby, to stop his plan to turn all children into adults] I'm gonna take your machine!
- Mr. Moseby: No, you're not.
- Zack: Well, who's gonna stop me?
- Arwin/Esteban: [grabs Zack by the wrists] That would be us!
- London: Aw, still not shiny enough. Stupid diamond!
- Mirror: No diamond can compare to the sparkle in your eyes.
- London: You're right, Mirror. But I'm still not taking you to the chateau in France.
- Mirror: Someone's looking puffy.
- London: (Gasps)
- Zack: We’re here to save you! We would’ve been here earlier, but I had to defrost Cody.
- Cody: It’s B-b-b-brain Man.
- Zack: Right.
- London: Save me from who?
- Zack: The Meanager. We think he’s after your diamonds.
- Zack: Stop right there, Meanager! Your days of meanaging are over.
- Mr. Moseby: Well, you’re too late. I just need one more diamond to power up my adultifier. Children of the world, say goodbye to recess and hello to rush-hour! (turns to London) Give me that diamond, London.
- London: Her name is Tina.
- Mr. Moseby: Fine. Give me Tina.
- London: Here you go.
- Mr. Moseby: [evil laughter]
- Zack: Oh, no! The adultifier is powered up!
- Mr. Moseby: And the first two kids I'm going to use it on are you!
- Cody: That's what you think.
- Mirror: Hey, I was taking a nap. (ZAP!!!)
- Mr. Moseby: [grunting]
- Zack: If it turns kids into adults, I wonder what it turns adults into.
- Mr. Moseby: [grunting] [babbles] Waaa! [babbling]
- Cody: There's your answer.
- London: Tina! Cheryl! Oh! Are you ok? Mommy's sorry. Let's have a little polish, and off to bed.
- Carey: Boys.
- Cody: Mom, we defeated the Meanager.
- Zack: And saved all the children of the world. Well, except for Bob.
- Cody: On the bright side, I hear he has a thriving insurance business.
Trivia[]
- This episode was marked as an unofficial crossover. This is because another two shows (Hannah Montana and Cory in the House) wished on the same shooting star, as part of Disney's "Wish Gone Amiss Weekend".
- Moseby's laser visions:
- Yellow: Mind Control Ray
- Red: Heat Ray
- Blue: Freeze Ray
- Green: Turns kids into Mini-Adults
- Purple: Tickle Ray
- At the end of the episode, Zack says, "Something must have happened when we went through the time vortex." This could be a reference to the time vortex concept from the British sci-fi show Doctor Who.
- This episode marks the final appearance of London's Mirror in the Suite Life of Zack & Cody series. It returns in the Suite Life On Deck episodes, Once Upon a Suite Life and A London Carol.
- Even though the episode supposedly is Zack's dream, it still has Maddie helping out the kids at Camp Heaven On Earth. Similarly, this is the only time Zack visits the camp, as well as Esteban.
- Zack running around the earth at supersonic speed and turning back time could be a reference to how Superman flew across the world so fast that it spins in the opposite direction and went back in time.
Goofs[]
- Zack reportedly carries Cody back in time to the late Cretaceous when New York was a desert with a Tyrannosaurus rex nearby. This is unlikely since at that time, the location where New York now stands was underwater and Tyrannosauruses roamed what is now the Pacific Northwest.
- When trying out his telekinesis power for the first time, Cody is suddenly wearing slippers when he was only wearing socks before.
