Do we collect quotes here?

Chun Li: [to Bison] It was twenty years ago. You hadn't promoted yourself to general yet. You were just a petty drug lord. Huh! You and your gang of murderers gathered your small ounce of courage to raid across the border for food... weapons...
[indicates her binds]
Chun Li: ... hmph. Slave labor. My father was the village magistrate. A simple man with a simple code: justice. He gathered the few people that he could to stand against you.
[laughs]
Chun Li: You and your bullies were driven back by farmers with pitchforks! My father saved his village at the cost of his own life. You had him shot as you ran away! A hero... at a thousand paces.
Bison: I'm sorry. I don't remember any of it.
Chun Li: You don't remember?
Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

Bison: Ah! Doctor Dhalsim! How is your research today?
Dr. Dhalsim: The same. Warped. Corrupted. My science twisted to serve perversion instead of peace.
Bison: Tell you what. After I've crushed my enemies, we'll see about getting you published. That should cheer you up, hmm?

Bison: [to his architect] The temple above us was the wonder of the ancient world. Bisonopolis shall be the wonder of my world. But I think the food court should be larger. All the big franchises will want in.

Chun-li: You killed my...
M. Bison: Yes yes, I killed your father. What is it with you women anyway? I killed my father too, but you don't hear me whining about it.

(Obviously the quotes aren't from me; these are from the various movies.) PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 01:09, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

I've tried to make sense of the Alpha 3 story, but it was fairly difficult. Bison can revive as many times as he wants while the Psycho Drive works, meaning that several of the endings involving him being killed aren't inconsistent. But as far as I'm aware, there's only one Psycho Drive, so only ONE of the endings involving its destruction is possible. Since Charlie's supposed to have died, this means that Guile's ending (where Charlie sacrifices himself to let Guile escape) seems to be the canon one. So basically, I decided to leave out anything that contradicts Guile's ending. Anything that's consistent with it, I left in. The Adon/Akuma bit seems to fit in anywhere, but the rest seems to go in this order:
  • Bison sends Vega to fight Cammy
  • Cammy wins but doesn't kill him
  • Bison sends Juli to bring Cammy in
  • Bison sends Juni to get data on Ryu
  • Bison brainwashes Ken
  • Juni and Juli return, bringing Cammy
  • Bison tries to terminate them, they fight back and he dies, they start to die, he comes back to life
  • Ryu shows up, fights Ken, fights Bison, gets brainwashed
  • Sagat fights brainwashed Ryu
  • Sakura shows up (maybe fights Ryu too) and Bison attacks her
  • Ryu gets mad, rejects the Psycho Power/Satsui no Hadou and kills Bison
  • Chun-Li detects Bison's disappearance and tells Charlie to head in
  • Chun-Li heads in too, meets up with a distraught Cammy
  • Cammy uses Psycho Drive to save Juni, Juli and herself
  • Bison comes back to life again
  • Guile's ending happens, THE END

That's what seems to make the most sense, but any suggestions are welcome

I was actually about to ask how to go about adding a more detailed biography to the live-action movie section, starting with how the earliest thing we know about him -- before he had, as noted above, promoted himself to "general" -- is that raid on Chun-Li's village. (Also: That last quote there is actually from the American cartoon, specifically the last episode.  It might be hard to describe for a wiki, but while he's thoroughly contemptuous and mocking in that scene, in the movie, he honestly sounds a little sorry about not even being able to remember anything about that day.) - Cas Warner (talk) 00:12, September 29, 2016 (UTC)

Bison from Ireland?[]

Ireland? Where'd that come from?

You'd THINK it was an April Fool's, but in fact that's his nationality in the Legend of Chun-Li movie, apparently (I've never seen it). Nevertheless, in the official (video game) canon his birthplace is unknown, so I've changed it back to that.--Evilsbane 01:22, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Bison's style[]

Hey you guy's being I'm a martial artists I like to tell you that Bison's style is based off of Muay Boran. They do the same stance as he do from street fighter II up to now though Bison has his own little twist. Look it up76.94.173.73 22:58, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Vega-Sama (Master Bison, Mighty Bison)[]

In the Japanese version of most media(mainly Street Fighter IV and the Street Fighter II animated movie) Bison has a tendancy to refer to himself in the third person. Although, the subtitles noticebly are shown as "I" when he clearly says "Vega Sama".—Preceding unsigned comment added by Stitchking1 (talkcontribs)

Master Bison (マスター・バイソン, Masutā Baison)[]

I'm going to get rid of this sometime soon. Why would he refer to himself as his US name in Japanese, especially since we all know the "M" stands for MIke. And if you're going to keep that up at least put the fact he refers to himself as Vega-sama instead.

Bison bashing[]

I don't expect this to go very far, but frankly, why is Bison considered "unique?" He's a villain stereotype, probably having been inspired to seek world conquest after reading a bunch of comic books when he was a kid (he's not as old as he wants to believe). Also, why do people consider Bison to be a Magnificent Bastard? True he can wear down his enemies through tournaments, but neglects the possibility that some of his enemies might intentionally lose early on to save their energy for him, plus a number of his enemies might just not fall for his trick: Akuma certainly didn't, and simply went around the tournament and attacked him. And his continuous survival is due to his heavy reliance on superior minds to keep him alive, and he's too arrogant to appreciate that. Finally, a Magnificent Bastard must be bold, charming, and charismatic: the boldness is there to a degree, but charm and charism are two things that Bison simply does not have.

His "business before pleasure" demeanor is a complete facade and is overused, making him common rather than unique. Finally, since he lacks any type of charisma, his demands for loyalty from his subordinates is quite foolish: they fear him, and while they seem to be loyal, they are more than likely to abandon him once he begins to finally weaken and be unable to build himself back up. He also neglects the fact that, each time he has to go into a new body, his enemies are training and getting stronger, while he refuses to do the former and is getting weaker and weaker due to his impatience.

In short, Bison is not unique, and from what I've seen so far, is rather dimwitted. He simply can't accept his own limits, and thus charges head-first into a battle, usually without thinking. In my opinion, that's why he's named Bison, because he's just as stupid and reckless as the animal he's named after.Pyromania101 (talk) 20:49, October 9, 2012 (UTC)

While I agree the term "unique" is a stretch, I think it would've been a bit more productive to simply correct the inaccuracy/inaccuracies, as opposed to just complaining about it on the talk page. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 22:15, October 9, 2012 (UTC)

Bison's quote from revision 73745[]

Just to clarify things, regarding Bison's winning quote and General Awesomo's question of "Where is this quote from?", that quote is from Super Street Fighter IV, and the correct one says "by an eternal", not "in an eternal": "Embrace your fear as you are enveloped by an eternal nightmare!". Still, I feel that his winning quotes from SFII are far more known among people. - Ten kanji<font=Impact color=red>Holothurion 19:49, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

Bison is a German?[]

I think M.Bison was in born Deutschland(Germany) or German-American...

Because his soldier uniform and officer hat and boots looks like Wehrmacht(In WW2 German regular amry) uniform....

And his organization logo looks like SS(hitler's soldier) skull head, also He is a whiteman

So... I think he is german —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ostheer7890 (talkcontribs)

Final Bison is not a seperate character but a 4th ISM.[]

After looking at it carefully, Final Bison is not a "seperate character" but a fourth ISM dubbed S-ISM which just adds two extra moves and makes his damage output stronger.

His name is also never referred to as "Final Bison" in the game and when "picked" still just says M. Bison on both the CSS and the HUD, and the sprite is identical as well. In contrast, Shin Akuma is actually refered to as "Shin Akuma" in both HUD and CSS and has differences within his own sprite compared to normal Akuma.

I also can't find any official sources referring to him as "Final Bison", everything seems to come back to either this Wikia or Wikipedia.

The image on the Final Bison page is just SFV concept art for Bison's alternate costume and has nothing to do with Alpha 3 Bison, whoever added it was based on pure speculation.

As such I originally jumped the gun and my initial creation of the Final Bison page and thus reverting it, however if anyone disagrees I won't stop them undoing these edits.
