Known members[]
Ken's father[]
When Ken was about twelve years old, his father, a rich hotel tycoon, thought that his son needed to learn about discipline, or his son would become a spoiled brat all of his life and try to leech onto the Masters' family fortune.[citation needed] In order to do so, the elder Masters sent Ken to train under his best friend, the mysterious karate master Gouken.[1]
While he is not seen in the games, Ken's father appears in Street Fighter II V and Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist.
In Street Fighter II V, Ken calls his father in several episodes for financial assistance. When Zoltar informs M. Bison that the one fighting Vega, Ken, is a member of a family as rich as the Rockefeller family, Shadaloo captures Ken. M. Bison contacts Mr. Masters and wants a ransom of 1 billion dollars. While he gathers the money, Masters's friend Ortega calls Guile and Charlie to assist in finding Ken. Ken's mother also has a brief appearance.
In Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, Ken's father is an old friend of Gouken's, who sends his son to be trained and cope with his mother Yuki's death, while he goes back to his company to set things right. Years later, he visits Ken during his training in Japan, wanting him to return home and join the family business. However, Ken believes he is not ready yet and decides to finish his training with Ryu and Gouken. Before leaving, he teaches both Ken and Ryu some of his boxing tricks in order for them to hone their skills.
Ken's mother[]
In Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, Ken's mother is named Yuki Masters, who died when Ken was young, leaving both him and his widowed father with grief. She originally made her appearance debut in the first episode of the anime Street Fighter II V, she does not die in this series.
Ken's uncle[]
Appearing in a short story in All About Street Fighter Zero 3, he visits Ken while his nephew hosts a celebration ceremony in his recent victory in the Pan American Fighting Tournament. An accomplished first rate manager of the Masters' family business, it is he who persuades and encourages Ken to take up the Masters legacy.[2]
