Hiroaki Hashimoto, (born July 9, in Marugame, Kagawa.), better known as just Hiroaki (ヒロアキ), is a Japanese illustrator and conceptual artist who's currently a freelancer.[1] His art is known for its quasi-realistic take on characters, giving them an unique polished look (almost like an oil painting) with humanistic proportions and a metallic feel to them. He strives to sketch the characters he's assigned in "confident and daring poses" so that their fans can feel prouder to use them.

Biography

Hiroaki was employed by SNK, where he had provided the character designs and cover illustrations for several of their most famous franchises, including The King of Fighters and Buriki One. After SNK's bankruptcy in 2000 he became a freelancer.[1] He'd later go onto doing work for Capcom's beat 'em up/brawler game, God Hand, along with Super Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter: Battle Combination. He also made a guest appearance in Devil May Cry: 3142 Graphic Arts providing artwork for Dante and Trish. Hiroaki was hired by Project Soul to create the art for Soulcalibur VI's Soul Chronicle story mode.
