Daigo Ikeno thumbs up

Daigo Ikeno.

Daigo Ikeno, also known under his real name Ikeno Metaka (池野目高?), is a character designer, illustrator and art director who works for Capcom. He has done various images for their products ever since he was hired in 1993.

History

At the time of joining Capcom, he was involved in development as a dotter, but passed the examination and became a member of the design room.[1] His first job in the design room was the character illustration of the 3DO version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo.[1] Kinu Nishimura, who was checking the illustrations at that time, was very strict.[1]

The muscular expression of the character illustrations is strongly influenced by Bengus.[2] He also cites manga's such as "Shape Up Ran," "Kinnikuman," "Fist of the North Star," and "Dragon Ball" as his personal roots.[2]
