Hell's Pantry is a district of the Metropolis Zone. Located beside the sea, the area is noted to be "very rough". The generally-friendly population were mixed over the feelings for Sonic the Hedgehog during his fall from grace but everyone warmed to him after "his" show of affection towards Amy Rose.
Sonic and Tails received an anonymous tip-off that stated that Hell's Pantry was The Family's main base. The advice turned out to be a trap, with Family member Oscura using his powers to swap bodies with Sonic (and swapped Tails' with Zip the flea). In Sonic's body, Oscura convinced the public that he was a true hero. However, he then created an illusion that made everyone believe the district was under attack from flying whales. Sonic sussed out the ploy and was able to get his body back, "saving" the district at the same time.
