Boneheads are skull-shaped flying Badniks that behave in a similar manner to Nebula Badniks. Their chassis are yellow, they have red optics and stubby arms. Six of these Badniks were sent to track down Sonic the Hedgehog's secret Emerald Hill Zone base in Issue 14's Hero Of The Year. Sonic knew that his award statue was actually a homing beacon and so waited on the outskirts of the zone for the attack to come. All of the Boneheads were destroyed and Sonic's base remained secret.
The name 'Bonehead' is unofficial as these Badniks were never actually named in the comic.
