The Relgim sector was located within the regions known as the Outer Rim Territories. The sector was also situated south of the Raioballo sector[1] and shared its name with the Relgim Run hyperspace route.[2]

The Relgim sector was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the StarWars.com article "Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Rogue One?," authored by Mark Newbold and published on January 31, 2017.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Relgim sector was introduced in Starfall, an adventure book published by West End Games as part of Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game in 1989.[3]
