R6 astromechs^[2] also known as the R6-series^[6] were a series of astromech droids.^[2] Much like the R5 series,^[7] the R6's head was shaped like a conical frustum, but its eye piece more closely resembled^[8] that of the R2 series.^[9]

The R6 series was used by the Resistance in starfighters such as the T-70 X-wing.^[2]
