A hemodialysis pump was a device that was used to pump blood into a needing being. The pump was designed to be portable, and consisted of a flat shoulder pack that was able to contain six liters of fresh blood, as well as a vacuum tube system. Darth Scabrous used one of these to pump uninfected blood into his system to hold off the Sickness, until he could ingest the heart of a powerful Jedi.
