Grange was an agrarian planet^[2] located in a sector^[2] of the Mid Rim Territories.^[1] It was the homeworld of Galen Erso, who drew the attention of Republic Futures Program scouts in Grange's sector.^[2] During the Clone Wars, Grange was a strategically-important world, being well situated for hyperspace jump points to remote sectors. As such, it was besieged by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in 21 BBY.^[2]
