Ebruchi

The Ebruchi were a sentient race native to the Unknown Regions. They were humanoids with creamy white skin and mouths that were surrounded by worm-shaped tentacles. The Ebruchi were a nomadic civilization in the unknown space where their clan held territory over a handful of star systems, and prowled the edges of the Outer Rim Territories and Wild Space, looking for prey that wandered. The Ebruchi were mainly composed of Ebruchi, but were known to accept others into their ranks, usually outcasts from the various alien species found in the Unknown Regions.

History[]

Thrawn Meeting — The Galactic Empire made contact with the Ebruchi clan.

They were ruthless pirates whose homeworld was not known and whose history was devoted to conquest. While they were seen as war-like, the Ebruchi themselves tended to use small starships for travel rather than large fleets of bigger ships. Many believed that the race were barbaric nomads who had traveled in space for so long that they had forgotten, as well as forsaken, their planetary heritage.

Speciesism was a foreign concept to the Ebruchi. Members of other races made up parts of the pirate crews of the Ebruchi fleet and were considered Ebruchi as well. The most notable of these races were the Eickarie, Morseerian, and Tarro.
