Cliffspringers were a type of docile,[2] fleet-footed, grazing mammal[1] native to the ocean moon Kef Bir,[2] where they dwelt on grassy islands.[3] Members of Company 77, a group of human First Order deserters, hunted cliffspringers using energy bows without power augmentation, allowing for clean kills. The company harvested their prey efficiently,[1] taking meat and hides from cliffspringers.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Cliffspringers were first mentioned in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
