Child of Light is the first adventure in the Child of Light saga written by Lee Pickler and released by the RPGA on behalf of Wizards of the Coast.

Publisher's summary[]

Commander Luke Skywalker wants you to locate a child who has a special gift of the Force. Of course, dark siders and the Empire may also want him. You have to get there first. Part One of the Child of Light saga.

Plot summary[]

Four months after the Battle of Hoth, the Alliance to Restore the Republic is contacted by an individual from the planet Dalicron-4 who wants their protection for a strongly Force-sensitive child known as the Child of Light. This boy, Caeleb, cannot use the Force but strongly amplifies the abilities of any other Force user. While Luke Skywalker is too busy to investigate himself, the Alliance does send a small group of agents.

The agents meet a Bothan contact on the Kwenn Space Station before traveling to Dalicron-4 in the Outer Rim Territories. After some investigations, the agents track down the boy's family just as they are being attacked by a Whiphid bounty hunter named Tol Skaros. Skaros kills both the boy's parents before he is defeated by the Rebel agents. They take Caeleb into Alliance protection, but not before an Imperial Nebulon-B escort frigate enters the Dalicron system and places it under quarantine. With the aid of Thaum Rystra, a former Rebel scout, who was on the planet at the same time, the Rebels manage to deliver Caeleb to Kylbar, an aide to Admiral Gial Ackbar.
