C-9X was a prototype battle droid designed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. It was deployed by CEC executive Benton Maas during the Battle of Corellia against the Sith Empire, but Imperial forces destroyed the droid and took its signal emitter that could control other CEC droids, and used it to kill the CEC board.
