2MED2, spelled Toomedtoo, was a medical droid who served the Resistance during the Cold War.

Biography[]

In 31 ABY or 32 ABY,[1] Admiral Ackbar of the Resistance was captured by the First Order. Afraid that Ackbar would be executed, the Resistance made a team of fighters led by Captain Hoff who were to figure out where Ackbar was being held. The team, at some point captured a First Order droid named O-MR1, who they believed knew the location of Ackbar. On the way back to the Resistance base, the team's ship crashed on Taul and the only survivors of the crash were 2MED2, O-MR1, the protocol droid C-3PO, the construction droid CO-34, and the two security droids PZ-99 and VL-44.[2]

The group of droids decided to work together to get home. A small amount of time later, the droids picked up a signal from a First Order vessel. On their way to the vessel, the droids were attacked by spice spiders. PZ-99 sacrificed himself to give the others time to escape, by drawing the spiders to him. Not much later, the remaining droids were attacked by Thidaxx and can-cell. 2MED2 was destroyed in the attack, along with CO-34 and VL-44.[2]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary states that Poe Dameron joined the Resistance three years before the Starkiller Incident, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 34 ABY. Therefore, Dameron joined the Resistance in 31 ABY. As Dameron is a member of the Resistance during the events of Star Wars Special: C-3PO 1, it must take place during or after 31 ABY. Furthermore, the novel Force Collector features the arm of C-3PO, which means that Star Wars Special: C-3PO 1 must take place some time before Force Collector. 'Star Wars: Force Collector' Author Kevin Shinick on How His Story Ties into 'Star Wars' Canon by Dave Trumbore on Collider (November 19, 2019) (archived from the original on November 19, 2019)– states that Force Collector takes place a few years prior to Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, or 34 ABY, meaning that the latest Force Collector can take place is at least two years prior to 34 ABY, or 32 ABY. Therefore, Star Wars Special: C-3PO 1 takes place between 31 and 32 ABY.
