Boss Baird (ベアード, Beādo?) is a enemy boss from Star Ocean and its remake Star Ocean: First Departure, being the first fought by the party. The boss of a group of bandits, he organizes an attack on Kratus, but its defense force comprised of Roddick, Millie and Dorne stands up to him.
Strategy[]
The player should defeat the two Thieves before going after Baird, and should not let the bandits surround their party member as they can stun and then incapacitate. As Millie will be healing automatically, the player can just spam the 
button and Baird will be defeated in no time. A faster way to beat him is to use the Flare Bomb picked up outside the Defense Force HQ.
