Mamma Mia is a real life musical with a book written by Catherine Johnson featuring music by the Swedish pop group ABBA. The musical also has a film adaptation and a sequel. Mamma Mia is mentioned in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and Workin' Boys as a production at the Starlight Theater.
The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals[]
The touring production of Mamma Mia stopped in Hatchetfield in October 2018. On the night of the meteor, the show was being attended by Alice, Bill, Deb, Sam and Zoey. However, the show never went ahead as the meteor crashed into the theater subsequently killing everyone there by making them a part of the hive.
Workin' Boys[]
Mamma Mia features as one of the shows in the Starlight Theater's Mainstage Season program shown on the back of the Workin' Girls playbill. The description for the musical reads:
"A terrible show about sad women singing ABBA. A truly miserable experience; I can't express that enough. This show will make you hate ABBA as well as all musicals. You'll never want to listen to ABBA's two good songs ever again. Beware, friend. Beware. Abandon all hope ye who enter here."
