Crumb

Sir Crumb is a character from The Lands That Are. He is Sir Hop-A-Lot's former squire and one of Ella Ashmore's loyal companions. He features in Cinderella's Castle is played by Joey Richter.

Cinderella's Castle[]

Crumb first appears after being transformed into a loyal squire by The Fairy Queen of Sweet Dreams. He and Sir Hop-A-Lot pledge their allegiance to Ella. Crumb calls her pretty and Sir Hop-A-Lot corrects him saying Ella is the sun itself. The Fairy Queen of Sweet Dreams then tells Ella that Crumb and Hop-A-Lot will escort her to the ball.

Ella, Crumb and Sir Hop-A-Lot arrive at the ball and Crumb remarks that everyone is bewitched by the magic of the slipper granted by the Fairy Queen of Sweet Dreams. He is reprimanded for this by Sir Hop-A-Lot and then goes to sit and eat cheese. Ella then sends Crumb and Sir Hop-A-Lot outside whilst she speaks with The Prince. Whilst they wait for Ella, Sir Hop-A-Lot tutors Crumb in the art of swordfighting but Crumb keeps falling.

Later, when Ella is attacked by the Captain and his fellow guards, Crumb and Sir Hop-A-Lot appear to rescue her. Ella and Crumb watch Sir Hop-A-Lot defeat the guards and then order's Crumb to go with Ella as they run from the grounds. As they run, Crumb becomes tired and Ella offers to carry him, which Crumb accepts. As they go, Ella strokes Crumb's stomach making him sleepy. However, they are interrupted by The Stepmother who attempts to kill Ella. In order to defend her, Crumb jumps at the Stepmother and is thrown to the ground where he is knocked unconscious. The Stepmother then removes Ella's slippers which causes Crumb to return to being a normal mouse.

Once the slippers return to Ella's feet, Crumb and Sir Hop-A-Lot also return to their previous forms and arrive to help Ella fight the trolls. Crumb and Sir Hop-A-Lot then chase Rancilda as she runs away from the palace

After Ella's ascension to Queen, Sir Hop-A-Lot is made a Lord of the realm and Crumb is made a knight to replacing, now becoming Sir Crumb.

Personality and Traits[]

Crumb is a loyal and brave mouse. He cares deeply for those he is loyal to and will do anything to look after them even to the point of putting himself in harms way. Crumb can be impetuous and hot headed but ultimately he is a very honorable knight. Crumb is also a very cute mouse, something he is aware of and has many traits that contribute to this. He is prone to clumsiness as well as being very small so he is unable to keep up with his taller friends.

• Swordsmanship- Under the tutelage of Sir Hop-A-Lot, Crumb became proficient in swordfighting.

Relationships[]

Sir Hop-A-Lot[]

Sir Hop-A-Lot is Crumbs friend and mentor. Crumb was a squire under Sir Hop-A-Lot. During his time as a squire, Sir Hop-A-Lot taught Crumb swordfighting as well as how to be a loyal and honorable knight. While Sir Hop-A-Lot is critical of Crumb at times, the two care for each other and Sir Hop-A-Lot simply wants Crumb to improve and is willing to admit when he is ready. Crumb looks up to Sir Hop-A-Lot and the two are united in their quest to care for Ella.

Ella Ashmore[]

Ella Ashmore is Crumb's friend and queen. Crumb cares deeply for Ella and is willing to do anything to help her, including sacrifice his life. He is extremely loyal to Ella. Ella finds Crumb very sweet and endearing but also views him as an honorable knight.
