The General's Office is the official office of the leading commander of Stargate Command.

History[]

In the first years of operation, Major General George S. Hammond occupied the office until 2004, where Brigadier General Jack O'Neill would be in command until 2005. After General George S. Hammond took command of the SGC, there seemed to have been some kind of paranoia about lower ranking officers (like both Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter and Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell) sitting in the big chair. The General's office also has a star map that is shared with the Briefing Room.

Alternate realities[]

In an alternate reality, the General's Office was turned into the President's office after martial law was declared. (SG1: "The Road Not Taken")
