Jung Min-tae justifying why he voted to stay in the Squid Games in "Hell"
Jung Min-tae (정민태 Jeong Min-tae?), also known as Player 322, was a contestant in the 33rd Squid Game in 2020.
History[]
Jung Min-tae was ₩880 million in debt and chose to enter a high-risk competition to win money. After waking up in a large room with 455 other people, he signed a contract and took his photo. He managed to survive the first game, Red Light Green Light, after most of the contestants had been wiped out. Back in the lobby, many of the players that survived including him were frighten on the game's style of being eliminated. A few players and himself called out the staff for killing them. A vote was held if the game should continue, he voted yes and explained why he voted so, revealing he was homeless, but the majority voted no, and asked if he could continue the game along with the other players who wanted to stay. No Sang-hun confronted Jung Min-tae for trying to bring other to his death wish, but it was irrupted by a solider. However, those who were willing to return could, and he returned, along with most of the other players.
He managed to survive the second game, Sugar Honeycombs, and the third game, Tug of War, and beat his partner, Player 028 in the fourth game Marbles, and survived until the fifth game, Glass Stepping Stones. For the game, he chose the number 10, which meant he would be the tenth to go.
Death[]
When it was the turn of Jang Deok-Su, the person in front of Jung Min-tae, to guess, he refused to budge, saying that if they wanted to get out alive, they would have to go before him, as he refused to risk his life. Jung Min-tae argued with Deok-Su and refused to move up, thinking the timer would intimidate Deok-Su into moving. Deok-Su, however, had no issue with dooming everyone to their deaths. When Jung Min-tae tried to argue that it was the rules for Deok-Su to go first, Deok-Su declared that they were in hell, and there were no rules in hell. Deok-Su also ignored Jung Min-tae's threat to push him, and as Jung Min-tae continued to plead with Deok-Su, the impatient Han Mi-nyeo, the player behind Jun Min-tae, pushed him onto Deok-su's glass, prompting Deok-su to push him off to his death.
Mistake[]
Another Player 322 portrayed by a woman can be seen in Red Light, Green Light. Jung Min-tae was portrayed by actor Lim Ki-hong, while the other Player 322 was portrayed by an unknown extra.
