I just wanted to cuddle fish!

— Sue Nahmee
Character

Sue Nahmee,[1] storyboarded as Susan Nahmee,[2] is the main antagonist of the first spin-off movie, Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie. In this movie, she planned to take sea creatures from Bikini Bottom to become Sea Pals.

Description[]

She is a black woman with purple eye makeup and eyelashes with blue hair and pink lips. She also wears a white coat and pants as well. In her form without her clothes, she appears robotic. Her torso has an aquarium in it, with fish on her shoulders and starfish on her knees.

Role in movie[]

Sue first appears when Phoebe and Kyle tell her that Sandy and SpongeBob weren't captured, which angers her. She then demands that her assistants find them at once.

Sue later explains her plan: to genetically modify the citizens of Bikini Bottom into air breathers and clone them to sell them as toy pets. After her explanation, she has Kyle and Phoebe perform tests on Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and Patrick (which are a torture-ridden nightmare for the trio) and is pleased with the results.

After SpongeBob and Sandy arrive at the lab, they're chased by Cuda, Sue's Pug, who follows them into the sewers but it works out and leads them to the lab. Sandy finds out about Sue's plans and is about to attack, but she is stopped by Sue, who puts her in a cage while SpongeBob is placed in a rollercoaster that leads him to the cloning chamber. Sue explains her motives being that, as a child, she always wanted to be able to cuddle with fish but couldn't due to them not being able to survive outside of water. Taking off her lab outfit, she reveals herself to be a cyborg and that she used Sandy to spy on everyone, which causes the residents of Bikini Bottom to feel betrayed. However, after SpongeBob arrives and encourages Sandy, she has a final confrontation with Sue that ends with Sue's head falling off and being fed to her pet fish, which makes her happy as she always wanted to be a fish.

Trivia[]

  • Her name is a play on the word "Tsunami," which is an ocean based natural disaster caused by earthquakes or volcanoes.
    • This name fits with Sue's love for the ocean life as a child.
  • Sue Nahmee was first seen as a villain, but was redeemed when she became a fish because it was revealed that she just wanted to cuddle fish.
