Nitros are items that appear in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie video game.
Description[]
A nitro consists of three spheres in a triangle formation, two orange, one blue, with five lights orbiting the spheres. It also has the symbol N20, the scientific symbol for nitrous oxide, on the front in purple font. A nitro overall resembles a really large nitrous oxide atom, with the orange spheres representing nitrogen, the blue sphere representing oxygen, and the lights representing the electrons of the atom.
Role in game[]
Nitros appear in the levels "Sandwich Driving 101," "No Weenies Parking Anytime," "Sundae Driving," and "Drive of the Knucklehead-McSpazitron." Whenever SpongeBob and Patrick collect a nitro, they can use it to boost the Patty Wagon and make it dash forward for a short time. The player can hold up to three Nitros at a time.

- The nitro's use of boosting the Patty Wagon is based on how nitrous oxide is used to speed up race cars by creating bigger combustions and causing the cars to go faster.
