Trivia[]

General[]

  • Patar's clothes appear different on the cover of this DVD.
  • The back cover of this DVD contains pictures from these episodes:
  • Advertisements in this DVD case are advertisements for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes (also known as "videos") for The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Sea of Trouble (VHS and DVD), SpongeBob SquarePants: Sea Stories (VHS and DVD), Tide and Seek (DVD only), and The Seascape Capers (VHS and DVD). On the other side is an ad for SpongeBob books.
  • The original 2004 DVD includes previews for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes. These include older SpongeBob SquarePants DVDs and VHS tapes, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius DVDs and VHS tapes, Rugrats Go Wild DVD and VHS tape, and The Wild Thornberrys Movie DVD and VHS tape.
    • The previews from the 2004 DVD are the same exact previews that were previously used on the SpongeBob: The Seascape Capers DVD.
  • The 2006 bilingual Canadian re-release of this DVD includes previews for other Nickelodeon DVDs. These include older SpongeBob DVDs, Avatar: The Last Airbender: Book 1: Water, Volume 1, and Nick Picks DVDs.
  • In the episode selection, the image for "Ugh" is technically a scene that originates from "SB-129" which is not on this DVD. Specifically the scene where SpongeBob primitive and Patrick primitive are confused and drooling. However, this exact scene from "SB-129" is actually reused in "Ugh" during the "When Worlds Collide" song.
  • This is the first DVD where SpongeBob doesn't appear on the front cover, but instead one of his prehistoric ancestors does.
  • This is the first SpongeBob DVD where the Nickelodeon logo is shortened to "Nick" on the front cover. On the VCD cover, the international covers, and the disc though, the full Nickelodeon logo remains.
  • This is the third SpongeBob DVD with a cover that's based on a special/double-length episode. The first was Tales from the Deep and the second was Christmas.
  • In different countries, this DVD and many other DVDs were bundle in different various boxsets.

Errors[]

Polish 20191215 131439976

Spine error and SpongeGar has two sleeves instead of one.

  • SpongeGar has two sleeves on the front cover artwork of this DVD, while he only has one in the actual episode (on his left arm).
    • This also happens on the VHS cover.
    • The error was corrected in a "How to draw SpongeGar" page in the March 2004 issue of Nickelodeon Magazine.
  • SpongeBob in his "modern" appearance appears on the spine instead of SpongeGar.

Pathar captions error.

  • On the closed-captioning version of "Ugh," the closed-captions misspell Patar's name as "Pathar."
Belly captions in Plankton's Army

"Belly."

  • In the closed-captioning version of "Plankton's Army," Plankton says that "United, the Plankton family could be a real pain in the fanny!," the closed-captions say "belly" instead of "fanny."
