This was originally a Disney sound effect that is not on Cartoon Trax Volume 1. The whistle that is heard is most likely a Great Northern 5 chime steam whistle. However, the whistle from the Disney cartoons probably came from Rock Island 938, a Canadian Pacific locomotive, or a Rio Grande locomotive, the whistle from 80’s British TV show, Tugs and the 1977 movie Wombling Free was sourced from the Star Brass 5 chime steam whistle that Union Pacific steam locomotive #4466 had worn for usage as 4466 was not in operation in 1977, and The whistle as heard in the 1984 movie Many Ways to the Life was sourced from a Chinese Railway Star Brass 5 Chime recorded from a China Railways Class QJ steam locomotive.
