This sound was created in 1983. Originally a Soundelux effect, it debuted in The Outsiders. On August 13, 1990, The Hollywood Edge picked it up. After the company's bankruptcy, Sound Ideas acquired this sound effect.
It is not to be confused with Hollywoodedge, Gto Mix Revs Peel Out PE074101, which, on the same library, has a similar tire squealing element.
