Sonic Retold[]

"SONIC RETOLD" is a webcomic intended to continue Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comics before the “Worlds Collide” crossover. This webcomic is a labour of love for one of my favourite comic series and an attempt to provide closure to longtime readers who want to see the loose ends of the original continuity tied up. What happened to Mecha Sally? What’s going on with the echidnas? Where did Bunnie go? How will the Freedom Fighters deal with Naugus and that mutated Tails Doll? Sonic the Comic Online (STC-O) is an unofficial continuation of Sonic the Comic by Fleetway/Egmont, following on from the final full-reprint issue #223. Many of the original STC writers and artists have praised the website and backed its continuation; Nigel Kitching is also an occasional contributor to the site's message boards, and several former creators wrote in to #224's Speedlines. Thus, it is considered among STC fans (and even Nigel Kitching) as "unofficially official" - the closest to an official continuation as there will ever likely be.

Sonic Eggs[]

Sonic Eggs is a spoof/continuation of Archie’s Sonic X comic book series (which itself was an in continuity expansion of the first season of the Sonic X TV series), posted on Emerald Coast Comics. It both satirizes and pays homage to all things Sonic, while also making an effort to be (almost) as kid friendly as its source material. It is written by Sonic Stadium contributor Jason Berry, and even Archie Sonic talent Tracy Yardley and Ben Hunzeker has contributed to the project.

Sonic Legacy[]

"Sonic Legacy is an off-shoot of the Sonic Paradox team, a project meant for those with artistic/writing talent to have something to create if animation isn't their cup of tea. It's a comic series within its own canon, not connected to official series like Archie, IDW, or Fleetway (though there is inspiration), but still incorporating elements of the games themselves, along with our own unique ideas. The goal isn't to “compete” with official comics, but to show our own unique take on the adventures of the blue blur and his friends."

Sonic Skyline[]

Sonic Skyline is a Sonic redesign/alternative universe by Drawloverlala, which inspired others (notably WickedlyElphie) to create stories based in this AU. Later, the user Tale-Dude began a comic series based on Drawloverlala's original design.

"In this Universe.. Mobians live on cities on the Sky.. meanwhile humans on earth.. Still there is this human called Eggman who has been creating violent and destructive artificial storms! After the events of Sonic Forces, Tails congratulates Sonic for saving the world after many tiring, yet thrilling adventures. Sonic is standing in the balcony of the yacht where Tails finds him and brings him back inside to watch a video advertisement on their destination for vacation, Miracle Island. However, Sticks spots two mysterious figures in the video and assumes they might be plotting an evil scheme. However, some of Sonic's friends find this hard to believe. Tails announces that they have arrived on Miracle Island, but the island is not what they expected...

Project 06[]

PO6 is a remake and rebuild of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) for PC on the Unity engine. Along the way the developer wants to improve the game's visuals, fix its worst bugs and tweak some of the gameplay fundamentals that made it so difficult and unenjoyable to play at launch.

Sonic The Fighters Blitz: Hyper Edition is the continuation of Sonic The Fighters Blitz, originally made by Restless Dipstick which is the fan successor of Sonic The Fighters using the Ikemen GO Engine. Sonic The Fighters Blitz is a Sonic Fan Fighting Game that Restless was working on 2 years ago, but he had discontinued the game after the 1.0 Release. Outside of the 8 bosses from the original game, Metal Sonic and Eggman, as well as plenty of brand new characters who weren't playable in the original Sonic the Fighters were planned to be added over time.

"In development since 1998, Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a 3D open-source Sonic the Hedgehog fangame built using a modified version of the Doom Legacy port of Doom. Sonic Utopia[]

Sonic Utopia is an experiment that not only tries to expand on Sonic gameplay in an intuitive way in 3D, but also aims to capture the best of Sonic's style and tie it together in a cohesive experience. Nearly everything in this demo, from art to sound to the gameplay engine, was made from scratch. I created all of the models, animation, and most of the textures and sound, as well as the music. The 3D Sonic engine and the gameplay driving this vision was created by my programmer fellow Murasaki. Sonic Before & After The Sequel[]

Two fan games created by LakeFeperd. Sonic Before the Sequel (abbreviated Sonic BTS) serves as a interquel between Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Sonic After the Sequel (abbreviated Sonic ATS), like its predecessor, acts as a interquel, this time between Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Across the two games, the player races through numerous zones as Sonic and Tails go out to stop Dr. Eggman from launching the Death Egg and crashing it into (and attacking) the mysterious Angel Island.

On August 26, 2017, an updated version of the game titled "Sonic After the Sequel DX" was released, which uses the hardware renderer, has several physics tweaks and the inclusion of the Drop Dash from Sonic Mania.

On Sep 15, 2019, a fan made update to the game was released with 16:9 aspect ratio, DirectX 11 support, new and complicated bosses, new sprites, bug-fixes, Discord's Rich Presence support, achievements, new settings, new cut-scenes made by Triangly (in development), secret game modes, easter eggs, and so much more. "This is not the final version of the project, as we plan to fix more bugs and errors in the next upcoming updates, as well as adding new features."

Sonic Chaos[]

Sonic Chaos is a fan game and re-imagining of the 1993 Sega Game Gear and Master System platform game of the same name. Based on the current style of 2D classic Sonic games inspired by Sonic Mania, Sonic Chaos updates the 8 bit visuals of the original and adapts a play style more closely resembling the classic 16-bit games. The game has been in development for almost an entire year, of which the last 3 months was spent building a brand new engine from scratch. Interesting theory by Cobrateen suggests that Chris and Eggman are actually the same person, or Eggman is one possible future for Chris. (now that I think about it, it's eerie how Eggman and Chris share nearly exactly the same color scheme with red/black/yellow and the same hair color.)
