In Knuckles' Chaotix, Triclods only appear in Amazing Arena. In gameplay, they lack any offensive or defensive combat abilities, and simply wander left and right along the ground. A Spin AttackSpin Dash or Spin Jump is sufficient enough to destroy them. Also, upon their destruction, they release a Dark Ring.
