The Speeding Swing Surprise is a maneuver that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is a combo maneuver between Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower where Tails swings Sonic into a foe.
Description[]
When performing the Speeding Swing Surprise, Tails flies towards an enemy in his plane while Sonic jumps towards him. Tails then lets his Enerbeam out over his plane for Sonic to grab onto while Tails circles around the enemy. As he nears the enemy, Sonic swings into it with a powerful kick, using the momentum to increase the force of impact. This attack is strong enough to send Burnbot flying a great distance.[1] However, to perform it properly, the participants have to be synchronized.[2]
History[]
TV series[]
Season one[]
While fighting Burnbot in a canyon, Tails helped Sonic use this attack to knock Burnbot away.[1] When Eggman's Decimator Bot later attacked the post office, Sonic tried using the technique again, only to fall into a crate of watermelons when Tails was too distracted by Zooey.[2]
