Solaris is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He was a sun god and a god of time who was worshiped by the people of Soleanna. Once a living flame, Solaris was split into two halves ten years ago, which rejoined in recent times and threatened to destroy the Prime Zone. Fortunately, Solaris was stopped by Sonic and his friends by erasing him from existence.

History[]

Past[]

Solaris was originally a sentient flame which was worshiped by the inhabitants of Soleanna. Ten years ago, a project was initiated in hopes of harnessing Solaris' power and undo humanity's past mistakes. However, when the project backfired, the flame became unstable and exploded into two halves, which were sealed for the next couple of years.[1]

In recent times, Dr. Eggman sought to harvest Solaris' power in his bid to conquer the world, but his attempts proved unsuccessful due to interference from the Freedom Fighters. Eventually, however, Solaris' halves were able to reunite and create Solaris again. The sun god would then plunder the world into darkness and prepare to consume all Zones in the multiverse. Fortunately, the Freedom Fighters were able to travel back in time when Solaris was just a flame and blow it out, thus erasing him from existence and reversing all of the damage he had caused.[1]
