The Reverse Polarizer[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is a device created by Miles "Tails" Prower that is capable of reversing any force.
Description[]
Appearance[]
The Reverse Polarizer is an orange and gray hand-held device with a small screen and a grip on the bottom. It possesses two antennas with a spiral around each of them, a turning knob on the left side and two pins on the right side.
Features and abilities[]
The Reverse Polarizer is capable of taking any force and reversing it by shooting energy from its antennas at the subject exhibiting any form of force. For example: by using it on a toilet as it flushes out, it will cause the water to sprout out instead, and if used on a black hole, it will reverse its gravitational pull.[1]
History[]
TV series[]
Season one[]
Created by Tails, the Reverse Polarizer was tested on his own toilet, which proved to be a success, much to Tails' joy. When Dr. Eggman and Dave's Doomsday Devices later created a black hole that threatened to destroy reality, Sonic used the Reverse Polarizer inside the black hole to make it to close in upon itself, presumably destroying the device in the process.[1]
Trivia[]
- The name is a reference to the Third Doctor's phrase "reverse the polarity" from Doctor Who.
