The Mega-Mecha Tank[1] also known as the Mecha-Mega Tank[2], is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a nuclear powered tank used by Crocbot.

Description[]

Appearance[]

The Mega-Mecha Tank is a miniature red tank, with a row of gray spikes on its front, and an open top with a gray machine gun mounted on it. The right side of the Mega-Mecha Tank possesses a white "C" decal, while the rear of the Mega-Mecha Tank sports a white license plate reading "Croc-1".[1]

Features and traits[]

In addition to its great speed, the Mega-Mecha Tank possesses a mounted machine gun, which appears to fire small, no-lethal pellets. Despite being able to smash through stone walls with ease, Mega-Mecha Tank does not appear to be incredibly durable, as it was severely damaged by a single Bomberang. Additionally, due to the Mega-Mecha Tank's nuclear power source, it creates a large explosion upon its destruction.[1]

History[]

Southern Crossover[]

Following the defeat of C.D. ROM Ram, Crocbot's headquarters was invaded by Tails and the Downunda Freedom Fighters. During said invasion, Crocbot fled down a flight of stairs, to the place where he had stored the Mega-Mecha Tank. Fitting into it so that only his body above the waist was exposed, he used it as a getaway vehicle to escape the Freedom Fighters. However, team leader Walt Wallaby prevented his escape, using a Bomberang to knock the tank off-course and into the Great Crater, creating a massive explosion, destroying it, and greatly damaging Crocbot.[1]
