The Hover Bubble[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics.

Description[]

Appearance[]

The Hover Bubble is a clear orb of glass. There are some antennae sticking out of the top, while Dimitri's tendrils come out from holes in the bottom half.

Features and traits[]

The Hover Bubble is used by Dimitri to allow him to levitate. It is one of his two methods of movement ever since he lost his body, alongside with his dreadlock tendrils.

History[]

Despite the best efforts of the Dark Legion, the cybernetics that sustained Dimitri’s life began to slowly fail. In order to survive, Dimitri allowed Dr. Finitevus to disassemble his robotic body and repair him, eventually leading to Dimitri’s entire body being thrown out, with him now being a mere head in his Hover Bubble. [2] The Hover Bubble, along with his tendrils, were the main methods of movement Dimitri used after his operation. Lien-Da would later destroy Dimitri’s Hover Bubble by overloading it, immobilizing him.[1]

In the Light Mobius Zone, Dimitri also utilizes the Hover Bubble. Although the details of how he ended up in this situation are not elaborated upon, it is implied it had something to do with Doctor Eggman's last ditch efforts to save his falling empire.
