Greece[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a country located in Europe.
History[]
Sonic Unleashed[]
In Sonic Unleashed, Dr. Eggman awoke Dark Gaia, resulting the planet splitting in seven parts.
After falling from Eggman's flagship, Sonic wakes up in Apotos, one of Greece's regions. There, he found a weird creature who lost his memories. Sonic traveled to the city, hoping to find somebody that knew who the creature was. Entering the city, Sonic was thinking about his earlier form and the powerless Chaos Emeralds. After buying themselves some ice cream, Sonic decided to name the creature "Chip".
After a whole day of searching, the duo were not able to find anybody that knew who Chip was. Upon nightfall, Sonic transformed back into his Werehog form. He and Chip soon found the Ice Cream Vendor in an unexplained depression-like state. As Chip tried to cheer him up, an ice cream dropped, but Sonic managed to catch it before it fell with a new stretchy arm ability. Later that night, the citizens told the two that a two-tailed fox was spotted in the city.
Sometime later, Greece, along with the rest of Europe, returned to their proper place when Sonic and Chip used a Chaos Emerald in the Gaia Temple from Mazuri in order to restore that fragment of the planet.

Sonic Unleashed (mobile)[]
In the mobile version of Sonic Unleashed, in his quest to harness Dark Gaia's energy in order to conquer the world, Dr. Eggman went to Apotos, Greece, after his defeat in Chun-Nan. Sonic battled against him twice and managed to chase him off.

Sonic The Comic[]
In the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions, Hercules was given twelve tasks by Eurytheos in order to join his father, Zeus, in Mount Olympus. However, he was still denied after completing all of them. During their travels in the Ring of Eternity, Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary arrived in ancient Greece during Hercules' time and helped him to complete his thirteenth task. After that, he was finally allowed in Mount Olympus.[2]
