Doctor Pin is a character mentioned in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a rumored associate of the Battle Bird Armada who is said to be a part of Bean the Dynamite's origin.^[1]

History[]

According to stories, Dr. Pin and his associate Dr. Bin conducted a project where they combined dark magic with a bio-weapon to create a hybrid of said parts which resulted in Bean the Dynamite. However, given the many stories circulating around Bean's origins, it is not confirmed if Dr. Pin even exists.^[1]

Trivia[]

• Pin and Bin are an allusion to the video game Dynamite Dux, which featured the pair as bow-tie wearing ducks working to save their owner from an evil sorcerer. Their designs served as the inspiration for Bean in the game Sonic the Fighters, hence their mention as being involved in his origins. Early plans for the Battle Bird Armada featured Grand Battle Kukku XV as heir to the "Dynamite Dux" legacy, a further nod to their origin game, but as yet no evidence of this plot element being continued has been seen.
