Team NESTS

Team NESTS (ネスツチーム) is a reoccuring Team in The King of Fighters series.

Description[]

As the name implies, this team consists of NESTS operatives, during the saga of the same name (and is formed only in KOF 2001). This team was formed by the higherups who worked in the NESTS cartel, in order to execute any traitors or any potential threats to the NESTS (and watch Kula Diamond, the former anti-K' weapon, after the events of the previous game). This team also acts as the Team Rivals of the saga, rivaling with Team K' (the Hero Team of the story arc).

After Foxy was brutally injured by Ángel and K9999 during the climax of the 2001 tournament, the team was automatically disbanded, and was never formed again after the end of the saga. Despite this, the team was reformed in fifteenth tournament, but this time have nothing to do with NESTS nor under the cartel's name, because of their status as the organization's former agents.

Team Krohnen (A.K.A. Former KOF 2002 Team NESTS)[]

Team Krohnen (クローネンチーム) is an another variant of Team NESTS. This formation consists of former NESTS agents, led by a mysterious character named Krohnen McDougall (K9999's new persona) and currently appear only in The King of Fighters XV. It shares a similar formation as the non-canonical NESTS Team in KOF 2002, prior to its current remake, regarding of K9999's controversial appearance, until their ending eventually ends up being revealed to be one of the non-canon dream team formations to be included in the mainline story.
