Four Suits (stylized as ♠♥♦♣) is one of Oswald's Super Special Moves in the King of Fighters series, first appearing in The King of Fighters XI.

Description[]

Oswald spins towards his opponent with a card in one hand each, then upon connecting with his advancing spin, slashes away at his victim with a rapid combo, ending in a ♥ for 9 total hits.

The version however, has Oswald shred his foe up with the spinning once he contacts them, and extends the combo into being 21 total hits if the spin hits cleanly as close as possible (the later Oswald connects with the spin, the less hits the super will do).

The version, introduced in KOF XIV, instead has the ♥ inflict a wallbounce/counter wire, where Oswald follows-up with a perfect A via the downwards slash finish.

All versions can be held/delayed where Oswald spins in place before he moves, and can deflect projectiles during this period. Delaying the move however has no effect on its damage. However, in KOF XIV, the delayed spin destroys projectiles instead of reflecting them.

• Four Suits is referring to the Spades (♠), Clubs (♣), Hearts (♥), and Diamonds (♦) found on playing cards.
• The version of Four Suits inflicts a total of 21 hits when landed at proper point-blank range, which may be a possible reference to the card game, Blackjack.
• In KOF XIV for all versions of the move, Oswald wields the Ace of Spades and Queen of Diamonds cards to slash at his victim with. Spade and Diamond cards respectively trail the later slashes within the onslaught.
  • Spade and Diamonds are often respectively in most card games such as Poker, the highest and lowest value suits in a 54 playing card deck.
