David Rodriguez is the narrative lead of the Skylanders games developed by Vicarious Visions. He is also the co-writer of the Skylanders IDW comic series alongside Ron Marz.

- Pomfrey's remarks in the bonus areas of Spell Punk Library might be a reference to the writer's work in the comic series. The SuperCharger gate refers to heavy handed morals like the ones seen in Champions, and the secret book about heroes fighting monsters with no real motivation possibly refers to Return of the Dragon King, as Malefor is much more ruthless in comparison to Kaos, who would get complex development in SuperChargers.
