I’m Shelly Stokes. I’m a textile artist, author, and teacher based in Chalapla, Jalisco, Mexico. I believe that all people are inherently creative beings – and that creative self-expression is essential to living a healthy and happy life.

The designs and colors of my work are influenced by the bold colors and the exuberant pottery and embroideries from various parts of Mexico. It is a pleasure to live and work in an environment drenched in color, design, and the sounds of life.
