The Seven Gods of Luck imbued with the tainted power of Malice(*)
Optional boss found only in the Shadow Hearts: Covenant Director's Cut. It is responsible for tainting the Sea of Woods with malice. It is known also as the Seven-Headed God.
It is one of the hardest bosses to be found in the game.
Bestiary Entry[]
Roughly translated:
The Seven-Heavenly-Immortals, overflowing from the Malice they've absorbed.
Having surpassed even normal levels of malice, it has tainted them evil, and transformed them from the Seven-Gods-of-Luck, into the Seven-Gods-of-Misfortune.
With the last of their reason lost, they tried to create an uncontrollable overflow, and drown Japan in a sea of Malice.
Strategy[]
It is highly recommended that your party's average level is at least 60.
Shichifukunjin has many attacks that attacks everyone and cause major amounts of damage and can inflict status disruptions to your party, it is highly suggested that each member in your party is equipped with a Crucifix.
Do not bother casting spells to buff up your party as it will use Lost Progress, dispelling your buffs, and allowing it another attack.
It would be good to have someone that can heal the entire party, Blanca's Aurora or the Dark Seraphim's For Tomorrow works well. Blanca can also use Fullmoon to heal all status and ring effects if you do not have any Crucifixes. Other than that it has moves that damage SP and MP so be sure to buy Talismans, Third Keys, Thera, Mana, and Pure Extracts from Gerard in this area before entering this fight.
Keys are recommended for this fight. One other thing to watch out for is an attack that can inflict Physical and/or Special attack down by 50%. There is also the Eternal Key and Gamble Ring method, although it may take quite awhile considering it has 30,000 HP, but if you use this method, it is likely that you will obtain another Eternal Key from this boss because of the Perfect Ring Bonus (In boss fights, for some reason Eternal Keys only show the Strike Area for me at least.) or because of that really long chain of hits you just did to it.

Etymology[]
Derived from the Japanese word "Shichi Fukujin" ("the Seven happiness beings"), which is the collective term for the gods of luck. Each head on the boss represents one of the gods.
Their names are:
- Hotei, the fat and happy god of abundance and good health.
- Jurōjin, the god of longevity.
- Fukurokuju, the god of happiness, wealth and longevity.
- Bishamonten, the god of warriors.
- Benzaiten, the goddess of knowledge, art and beauty.
- Daikokuten/Daikoku, the god of wealth, commerce and trade.
- Ebisu, the god of fishers or merchants.
They were often depicted together onboard their ship the Takarabune ("Treasure Ship"), which in-game is represented by the onion-shaped object beneath the heads.
