Gizmoduck is the superhero identity of Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, and the 2017 Continuum counterpart to Gizmoduck.
Description[]
Using a gadget-filled robotic suit built by Gyro Gearloose (in an attempt to avert his robots' habit of going evil by having a reliable human pilot the suit directly), friendly, naive intern Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera became a crime-fighting superhero and protector of Duckburg. In addition to the capabilities of the Gizmosuit, Gizmoduck's greatest strength is Fenton's ability to think quickly and handle many things at once, even under stress. Good and noble to a fault, Gizmoduck has two main weaknesses: his limited control of his suit's full capacities, and Fenton's gullibility.
Interestingly, a version of Gizmoduck actually existed (albeit briefly) as early as the American Old West, when Marshall Cabrera fashioned himself a crude, steampunk-style version of the suit using discarded bits of the destroyed Steam-Powered Steeds, which had been built by a time-traveling Gyro Gearloose. It does not appear that Fenton knew of his ancestor's earlier escapade when he first took on the Gizmoduck mantle, however.
