Relay for life

For the past two years the Manatee High School Ballroom club has participated in our local Relay For Life!  This year as a whole the team collected over $3864.00!!! The kids had an absolutley fabulous time and even got a chance to perform.  If your not familiar with Relay, check out this link! Our Relay started at 1pm on Saturday and ended at 7 am on Sunday morning.  Relay is much more than a walk around a track…  Relay is a time to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember those who have lost their battle, and help inspire people to fight the battle that may be before them.  My hubby and I were inspired when we were there and hope to make it again next year.

Here are some pics I would love to share!!

Some of the kids from the Ballroom club…when it started to rain!

Our leaders Tess Chawi and her middle son Xander…. Tess’ oldest son Chris is a cancer survivor and she has started this crusade for him!

Remembering Brian Leppek, Wilbert Leppek and Shirley Kern

Lighting the Luminaries….Tyler and Chantal

Thanks for letting me share something so important,

OCC Challenge-Blooming Blossoms

This is a challenge I thought would be fun and easy to do – It’s over at Our Creative Corner and here it is….. “So far this month we’ve used buttons, bows, and butterflies. To keep with the theme of B’s, Dana Grothaus is challenging us to use blossoms on our cards.”  Easy hugh?   Who doesn’t use flowers these days!!

Won’t you join me in this challenge??

Have a great week my friends!!

Supplies: GKD Cardstock, DP-?, Punches, ribbon, jems, flowers, pop dots

Thinking of you….

Happy Sunday fellow stampers!  Hope you are enjoying your day no matter what you decide to do, and if you are reading this post, I really appreciate you stopping by!!!

As you might notice the card below is using the same colors as my previous post.  I decided that it makes more sense to make a few different cards using the same color scheme instead of always starting from scratch.  Picking the colors is usually the part that takes me the longest!  What part of your stamping takes you the longest????

Have an amazing day!!

Supplies Used: GKD- cardstock, Paper-SU and ??, Ink, Chocolate and chalk  Accessories- MS-punch, CM-corner punch, SU-corners punch, ribbon, flowers, jewels,

SMILE

This was a challenge over at Stamp TV made by the founder Gina K herself.  First, make a card that would make someone smile, or lift their spirits, or will let them know you were thinking about them.  Then choose someone who you think could use a little pick-me-up and mail it to them.  This challenge was perfect for me, because I just purchased a stamp from Michaels in their Dollar basket that said just that!(don’t you just love that basket?)

Join me in this Challenge and make someone SMILE!!

Baby Gift

I always have a hard time figuring out what to get an expecting mom, because I want the gift to be perfect!  Are you that way too??  I don’t want the new mom to be stuck with more clothes than the newborn could possibly wear and I stand there in the dept. store trying to figure size with temperature outside at the time he or she will be able to fit into it and so on……  Here is my perfect solution!  I made this 11×14 framed Scrapbook page and am thrilled with how it turned out!  I left a spot for the mother to put the babies newborn picture in.  It is the exact colors of the nursery and the shower is tomorrow and I can’t wait to give it to her!!

Hope I have inspired you to give it a try, next time your in a pinch for the perfect baby shower gift!!

Have an amazing weekend!!
