–The Grand Master in a letter to his successor, Entry Page: 001 - Wrong Proposal

O5-10, known only by his title of The Grand Master, is a Spanish member of the O5 Council, occupying the spot of O5-10. The Grand Master was the leader of the Knights of the Military Order of Borja y Aragón, though allied with twelve other factions at the Forbidden City Convention to form the SCP Foundation after the Consensus occurred.

Biography[]

Early life[]

The man who would be known as the Grand Master was born in 1826 in Spain, to a Catholic family of mixed ancestry.[2] It is unknown if he was born into the Knights of the Military Order of Borja y Aragón or joined at a later time, but he eventually began to rise up the ranks of the organization, eventually reaching the rank of Grand Master. Most of the Knights had ever encountered anything anomalous, with much of their knowledge coming from previous generations of Knights; this left them extremely inexperienced.[1]

Occult War i[]

During Occult War i, the Knights fought against Emperor Napoleon I's clockwork soldiers, only to be annihilated. This cemented the Grand Master's hatred for anomalous machines, which extended to the Church of the Broken God.

In 1901, after the Consensus formed, the Grand Master was one of thirteen individuals who remembered Occult War i; therefore, he was invited by The Visionary to attend the Forbidden City Convention in Peking, China. There, a vote was held to unify their groups into the SCP Foundation; the Grand Master voted against this, as he did not wish his men to die in gruesome fashion, unwilling to send them to their deaths. After the vote, he considered pulling out of the agreement but The Terse wished to foster the unity of their Foundation, to which the Grand Master agreed, wanting his men to die meaningfully than as a sacrifice[1]

Foundation[]

After the Foundation's formation, The Grand Master became O5-10 of the O5 Council, being one of thirteen to lead the SCP Foundation.[1] O5-10 created a pension scheme for deceased Foundation members, drafting eulogies for them. He also created welfare schemes for active personnel, as well. As with the rest of the O5 Council, The Grand Master's life is artificially extended through some means; this is likely SCP-006.[2] He eventually wrote a letter to his successor, detailing his thought process regarding the Convention and his convictions.[1]

Personality[]

The Grand Master is a compassionate man who holds his men's best interest in his heart. He did not want them to die in vain, but to die meaningfully. The Grand Master is arguably the kindest out of the O5 Council, having drafted payment plans for deceased and active SCP Foundation personnel. He also nearly pulled out of the formation of the Foundation, almost solely so that his men would not die gruesomely against the horrors they would contain.
