Today we’re going to back to a simple technique that for some reason I never go to.
I was filming this video and the whole time in my head I kept thinking wow I really like masking…. Why don’t I do this more often? So I may just have to pull it out again.
I’ve got more of a wintry card then a Christmas card this week. Make sure you watch the video to find out the story behind the inspiration for this card.

Apparently I wasn’t quite ready to put away my foil press just yet after last weeks video.
You know how much I love coloring and pretty much as soon as I saw the leaves foiled out last week I was like I just really need to color these. So that’s what I did!
I had a way better time with my foilpress this go round! I really think sometimes it is just practice and getting familiar with a new technique. 🙂 I still want to do some more experimenting though. Then maybe an updated video is in the future. 🙂 I’ll also admit that I cheated and didn’t actually use anything “new” on this card. But it just called for one of the big greetings from one of Emily’s sets. It’s actually my favorite thing about her stamps!

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve used my wreath builder!
OK maybe not forever I think I used it a few months ago…
It just feels like a really long time.
Last weekend Scrapbook Expo hosted an at home event on Facebook and Youtube with the Stamping Village.
Don’t get me wrong, I always liked going to Scrapbook Expo events in person but I mean this was pretty cool. They’ve been hosting the events for awhile now I think with the whole pandemic situation but I’ve finally just checked one out last week and I’m just saying being able to go to Scrapbook Expo in my PJ’s with my dog was pretty nice. 🙂
And not mention no competing for space to see at the demo table and no crowded booths to walk through just casual scrolling of the internet stores. I am a fan and this is now one thing I hope sticks around in a post-pandemic world. I mean they don’t have to do it as often as they are right now but like you know a few times would be great!
Anyway, Gina K. was a part of this event and used the new and improved wreath builder templates to make some fun autumn wreaths which made me realize I haven’t used my wreath builder in a while and I have also never actually used my Autumn Wreath Builder Stamp set so it was well past time to get it out!
Enough talking on to the card!
I also had yet to try out this wreath spray technique and when I found this fabulous label die cut in my scrap box (Check out last weeks video for more on that) I thought it would work great for the center part of this spray.
At the very last minute I decided it needed a little more so I went back and added a couple sequins. 🙂
You might also notice that I went with a little less then traditional fall colors. But I really like the nice pop the turquoise sea added!

Let’s just get this out of way….
I REALLY miss Disney World
This statement will come as a surprise to absolutely none of you who know me in real life.
I had a trip booked for May that got COVID canceled and I currently have a trip booked for December but am in the process of moving that to late next year sometime….
I’ve always said as much as I love Disney…. I would never be a Disney trip every year kind of person I was cool with every 3-5 years and I feel like this whole thing has proved that absolutely false.
That’s not what your here for though so let’s move on shall we. There’s a reason I shared this though I promise.
It’s October 1st when I’m writing this and it’s the official start of spooky season!
Remember how I said I missed Disney? Of course you do it’s just a few sentences up. So clearly that means I needed to pull out some Disney crafts because what else is there to do about the situation. And lucky me I have a few Disney Halloween things in my stash. 🙂
I bought this stencil probably 2 years ago because I just had to have it! I may have just pulled it out again this year but I’m so glad I did! There’s also a Christmas version that I don’t own yet but I think I need to work on getting that too because these were such easy and fun cards to make!
I was really in the mood to play with some foil. So I decided to get out my deco foil transfer gel and have some fun with this stencil. When I remembered that I also had this really fun dazzling oragnge foil to use too I knew I just had to! I really love all the sparkle!
This one I used the black Glitter Glitz Gel to go with more of a Halloween color scheme with the black and orange because I had to get some classic Halloween in here somewhere.
Also shout out to Emily’s new Hey Boo stamp set! It is the perfect Halloween greetings set!

Anybody else just love making Halloween cards?
I always seam to loose my card making mojo over the summer. But boy does it come back with a passion once the fall season hits!
So today I give you the first Halloween card of the season! These little ghosts are just so cute! I had such a hard time deciding what costumes to use!
It’s actually a pretty simple card. And while the camera really caught the shinny glossy finish on the Gina K Patterned paper it didn’t really catch the sparkle on the witch hat. But I just used a bit of wink of Stella on it so really the sparkle is pretty subtle but it still gives it a little something.

It’s video week! I’m so excited to share this video with you! I was really in the mood to watercolor something and happened to see a stencil on my desk and thought hmmm I wonder what would happen if I water colored a stencil so I set up my camera and recorded a video testing just that. And a good old ink blended one to because I mean come on it’s Ink blending how do I not do that. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the video you can find a list of products I used below and in the video description. 🙂

I am so insanely happy that September is finally here! I absolutely love September. It might be my favorite month! I know Fall doesn’t technically start till later in the month but September 1st is the unofficial start to fall in my book!
And of coarse most of us here are stampers so we can’t forget about Stamptember too. 🙂 I may or may not have already placed an order or 2….
I’m so excited to share some fall themed projects with you all! Here’s the first one! I got this mini version of La La Land Crafts Scarecrow Marci from a co-worker last year but I finally got her out for this fall!
I think it’s been a crazy long time since I’ve made a card I like this much! I love the way I colored Marci. and the whole fall color combo I went with.
I really love the layout too! It’s a sketch you can find on my pintrest page! I absolutely love taking a piece of card stock and using it on an angle it just adds that little extra interest that I love!
