Season 2[]
Wiseman is the borrowed form and name of Death Phantom himself.
Ages ago during the early days of Crystal Tokyo, an unnamed human named Death Phantom became consumed in negative energy and disrupted the peaceful utopia with his power before being captured. But Neo-Queen Serenity, who could not bring herself to execute Death Phantom, exiled him to the cut-off world of Nemesis. However, Death Phantom became even more sinister and eventually discarded his body to merge his mind with the very planet itself. He obtained the Malefic Black Crystal and used it to persuade the few remaining people of the Black Moon clan, humans who denounce Silver Millennium for defying natural order, to help destroy the Legendary Silver Crystal; since it is the only thing that rivals the Black Crystal.
Taking the identity of Wiseman, he convinced the Black Moon to utilize his Black Crystal and attack Earth allowing them to travel back in time to invade Earth when Neo-Queen Sereinity was still Usagi. When Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Venus, and Chibiusa go to Crystal Tokyo to save the three kidnapped Sailor Senshi, Chibiusa eventually flees into the time stream and Wiseman finds her and controls her, turning her into Black Lady. When Sailor Moon frees her friends, they are confronted by the Black Moon Clan and Wiseman. Rubeus tries to flee, but Wiseman catches him and kills him. Wiseman takes Prince Demande and Saphir into the core of Nemesis, and places the latter under his control with the former feigning being brainwashed. Wiseman accompanies the two and Black Lady to attack on the palace, forced to reveal his true nature as Nemesis when Prince Demande destroys his remote body.
After Sailor Pluto dies from freezing time and Chibiusa is freed from Death Phantom's control and awakens as Sailor Chibi Moon, Prince Demande in an attempt to make amends for trusting him, puts himself between Death Phantom and Sailor Moon and is vaporized by the entity's power. Sailor Moon uses her power, seemingly vanquishing Death Phantom, but the planet is revealed to be an illusion as she and Tuxedo Mask were teleported to Nemesis's actual location. They are joined by Sailor Chibi Moon as they finally destroy Death Phantom and Nemesis.
