Ol' Smokey is a character in the Rock Band series who first appears in Rock Band and is one of the playable Session Musicians in Rock Band 2 and Lego Rock Band.
Physical Appearance
In the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the first Rock Band, Ol' Smokey has long gray hair with a brown headband and has a short gray mustache with gray sideburns and wears a beige shirt, blue jeans with holes in the knees, and brown cowboy boots. In the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions of Rock Band and the track packs, his hair, mustache, and sideburns are brown. In addition, he wears a brown shirt, light blue pants with orange-brown rope, different cowboy boots, and a light green headband. In Rock Band 2 however, he has a longer mustache without sideburns and wears a light gray shirt while his hairstyle, headband, pants, and boots remain the same as in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Rock Band. In the Wii version of Rock Band 2, his headband has extra detail on it. In Lego Rock Band, his headband is red.

Performances
Ol' Smokey is a guitarist/bassist character in the first Rock Band and can play any song, but only plays a few songs on bass in the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions. In Rock Band 2, he can be seen doing vocals, guitar, bass, or drums. Whenever he's not being used by the player, he often shows up for any song from the Rock, Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, and Southern Rock genres.

Trivia
- Ol' Smokey is one of the six characters to appear in every version of Rock Band and to be a playable Session Musician in Rock Band 2. The other five include Maynard Winter, American Phil, Moosejaw Boudreau, Sharky, and Sir Thomas.
- In addition, he and American Phil are the only Rock Band 2 Session Musicians whose looks differ in the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions of the first Rock Band from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of said game.
