Donald "Condor" Banks was a skilled Pilot in the Army of the Southern Cross' Tactical Air Force. Prior to the Second Robotech War, he was assigned to a base in Africa with "The Misfits" after taking unauthorized flights in classified aircraft. He flew around with a jetpack at the base. The night of new recruit Madalyne Hyser's arrival, the Robotech Masters invaded. Their waste disposal destroyed the base's transmitter.
